Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2, which also marks the return as director of father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, has been in the news since its inception. However, there was an unprecedented upswing after the unfortunate and untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Her suicide reignited conversations about nepotism and the entire debate between insiders and outsiders. From primetime television to Twitter feeds, every space was packed with fans who think their idol was wronged because of these “nepo kids.” They also called for a boycott of the OTT Hotstar platform because the movie is ready to be released on the streamer.
